Complete 20th century saddlebags like these are becoming increasingly rare as many were cut in half to sell as cushions in the early commercial part of the 20th century. Therefore, it is important that these complete "Khorjin" are preserved. The Timuri probably produced the most elaborate saddlebags, particularly as seen here in the brocade work that forms the bridge. Both tie pockets are in very good condition, as is the plain-colored back. Manufactured in western Afghanistan around 1950.
