Phulkari, meaning 'flower work', is an integral part of Punjab history. Embroidery is done by women in their spare time and the fruits of this pastime would be beautiful dupattas that would be given to the daughter of the family at her wedding.

The motifs that are part of this embroidery reflect the life and household of women. Everything they observe - from the flowers they grow, the vegetables they eat to the animals and birds that exist around them - is embroidered onto the fabric. As a result, the phulkari work in each household is different and has its own unique story to tell.

The nomad antique dress offered here is an original old and antique, handcrafted, sometimes very filigree nomad textile from Afghanistan. After years of use in front of the tribes, it is natural that there may be stains in the pieces, small parts may be missing, the embroidery may be damaged, discolored, or repaired.

*Due to photography and handwork, color variations may occur.

*Decoration is not part of the offer.
