beautiful traditional handmade silk embroidery from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries. It is also called by other names - keshte, kashta (in Uzbek), some people call them suzni. There are many different types and patterns of Suzanis - they vary by region; and even a region has different designs. Patterns of such embroidery have deep cultural roots dating back to pagan times.
