Large filigree dome shaped, silver plated earrings with fancy granulation - traditional Afghan vintage jewelry from mid 20th century.
Here we present a truly remarkable pair of antique Afghan earrings made of silver, gold plated and with fancy granulations. These earrings are from the Pashtuns, a nomadic group from southern Afghanistan and are from the mid-20th century. They show the mastery of Afghan silversmithing with their filigree, openwork and granulated work. The earrings are 38 mm wide, 72 mm high and weigh 51 grams.
Please note that this Kuchi nomad jewelery is antique and handmade and is partly very filigree. It was made in Afghanistan and may have dark streaks, missing stones, pitted or scratched glass, and missing small parts resulting from years of use and travel through the mountains and deserts of Afghanistan.
