The Afghan Ziegler carpet is not only characterized by the knot density. The wool quality, so-called Ghasni wool, deserves special attention. This is extremely hard-wearing, glossy and ensures a long service life.

Today's Ziegler is a relatively modern oriental carpet that has been hand-knotted in the area between Pakistan and Afghanistan since the 1990s. The subtle pattern without a central medallion and muted antique coloring are characteristic of Ziegler carpets. The wool is hand-spun and dyed with vegetable dyes. The pile of Ziegler carpets is relatively short. The natural-looking shine, which is created by a special washing process, gives the Ziegler carpet a beautiful and unique look.
This is a one-off.
