Antique ikat coat from Uzbekistan.
The ikat technique is a very complex weaving technique. As a rule, silk is used for this. The threads are dyed in vivid colors before weaving. The weaver must therefore plan the composition of the ornaments in advance. The woman's coat is sewn from such an ikat fabric.
