Premium quality original Afghan wool hat Pakol
It is usually "earth-colored" (brown, black, gray, or ivory). Before it is adjusted, it resembles a bag with a round, flat bottom. The strap rolls up the sides forming a thick band, then the pakul fits like a beret or cap.
The Pakol originated in Nuristan. It emerged among the northeastern Pashtun tribes in the early 20th century as a replacement for the large turban.

He also gained popularity among the Tajiks of Panjshir and Badakhshan. There is a basic style with a simple headband from Pakol which is mostly worn.
There are other variations in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Material: 85% wool, 15% viscose
Weight: 100 grams
The head circumference is approx. 55 cm, but it fits every head thanks to its flexible wool fabric.
The Pakol is basically a 15 - 20 cm long tube made of wool with a lid. The wool is folded and sewn in several places, creating a beautiful ornament. A satin-like fabric is attached to the underside of the lid so that the wool does not lie directly on the skin and the Pakol is given stability.
However, the Pakol only acquires its characteristic shape when the "tube" is rolled up evenly outwards. Optionally, a fabric strap can be wrapped to add extra stability to the Pakol.
The Pakol is not worn completely over the forehead, but only pulled slightly over the hairline (except of course if this is too far towards the back of the head ;))
