This unusual table made of lapis lazuli is something for special people. The coffee table was painstakingly handcrafted by experienced craftsmen from genuine Afghan lapis lazuli and is characterized by excellent workmanship and stone quality. The fine pyrite and calcite inclusions are beautifully evenly distributed.

The table top is designed in the style of the Florentine Renaissance and shows tendrils and branches. The elaborate inlay work made of marble and various semi-precious stones such as lapis lazuli, carnelian, jasper and jade gives the piece of furniture a special touch.

The table is 120 cm wide, 60 cm deep and 47 cm high.
The total weight is 75 kg.

It is made of marble and various semi-precious stones.

Pietra Dura is an art technique in which images and ornaments are laid from slabs of hard stone (such as agate, chalcedony, jasper, lapis lazuli, mother-of-pearl and coral) into mosaics. Unlike traditional mosaics, Pietra Dura uses precisely fitting moldings that correspond to larger parts of the composition. Mastic putty serves as an adhesive. Finished mosaics are polished to create highly resistant and durable decorative finishes.

The heyday of the pietra dura craft fell on the 16th century, especially in Florence. Small pietra dura souvenirs are still made in Florence today. The largest collection of Pietra Dura objects is in the Medici Chapel (Cappella dei Principi) in Florence's San Lorenzo church. The process is not only found in Italy, but also in India, where it was used to decorate the Taj Mahal, for example.

This Pietra Dura table is a true rarity and will transform your living room into a world from the Arabian Nights. Since each table is made by hand, you will receive a unique piece. This unique piece of jewelry is not an industrially manufactured mass-produced product.
