Fine 19th century Pakistani export chest of wood with brass inlaid rosewood, opening to a hinged door and revealing an arrangement of 6 small drawers and brass handles and fittings.
This is a genuine quality Pakistani hardwood mirror box and not to be confused with cheap stained wood or painted later pieces. It is made of heavy, richly colored hardwood that has a mild patina on both the wood and the metal handles and other fittings. The inlay is made of brass.
