vintage hand embroidered Tubeteika hat Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
Tubeteikas are now worn in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as in Muslim-populated regions of Russia (mainly Tatar) and Azerbaijan. The skullcap worn by Uzbeks and Uyghurs is called a doppa and has a square base.
This beautiful hat has incredible embroidered details. The hat shows some age including some fading, dust spots and occasional broken threads in the embroidery, but the embroidery is still in very good condition. Where the area has been shadowed by the sun, the colors are still vibrant.
The hat has a circumference of 157 cm and is 7 cm high.
